Situated on a plateau dominating the valley Belfort is built around a castle of which nothing remains except a restored 13th century tower and a few ruins of walls. (private)

The church of Notre Dame de Belfort
was built in 1866 after the destruction of the church of Notre Dame de Figouse. It is a beautiful building in large dressed stone and in its apse are to be seen four 12th century romanesque capitals.

A few kilomètres away the chapel of St. Jean des Arades, dating from the 15th century, is in the process of being restored.
